Draco could barely contain a laugh at the sight of Dean Thomas thinking he could fight,
"Idiot," he muttered. As he looked round, he realised he was one of the only people to be without a date, or in a tux. He had chosen a rather casual outfit actually, purely because he could no longer return to the manor to fetch new clothes. He found it rather curious having to be.........poor......... . He looked down at himself. He still looked handsome in his rather well cut and reasonably expencive black suit and shirt (open necked, he had never liked ties), but he no longer looked regal. He sighed, rather missing his extraordinarly expensive clothes, but found reassurance in the fact that he had money in Gringotts that would ensure his standard of life wouldn't change too much, and that when his father died, he would still get everything,
"temporary financial blip," he muttered to himself.

"And where is your date?" he asked with a coc-ked brow.

"You cannot be serious," he said, rolling his eyes, "Two points. When does Weasel get a date and not me, and when does a Griffindor date a Slytherin?" This was becoming more and more embarressing.

"That's good to know," Draco said sarcastically with a sneer, purely through force of habit, before hitting himself on the forehead, appauled at his own rudeness, "I apologise......Ronald...." he said confidently, though still uncomfortable about using his name. He shook his outstretched hand, "I wish to put it behind us also, and am grateful for your forgiveness."
