As he sent it, there was a deafening male scream through the castle. It sounded familiar. Hermione looked horrified. "Harry, it's Lupin!! Something happened!! We have to find him!" She stood up.

He pulled out the Marauders Map. "I solemnly swear I am up to no good!" he said quickly. He scanned the map for Lupin. "Astronomy Tower."

She ran for it, dodging flying bodies through the air and cursing Death Eaters in their path. When they made it to the Astronomy Tower, they found a masked Death Eater and Lupin. Lupin was mangled and lucky to be breathing, while the Death Eater stood there with his mask on and his wand pointing at Lupin.

"Expeliramus!" Harry yelled. The Death Eaters wand flew out. "Accio wand!" The wand flew over to him. He handed it to Hermione. "You hold onto it." He kicked the Death Eater in the groin. He fell to the ground in pain. "Are you ok Lupin?"

She grabbed the wand and ran to the Death Eater. She took off the mask and gasped. There, with silvery blonde hair, lied Draco Malfoy. She crawled backwards and bumped into Harry.

She frowned. "Knowing Malfoy, his mother bailed him out or something." She was still holding onto Harry's arm in shock, staring at Malfoy.

"I've been with you lately. I haven't read it." She informed him. "Forget him. Lupin. Professor Lupin?" She asked, crawling over to him. He opened one eye, as the other was black, and he tried to smile but couldn't. Thank you Hermione, Harry. You saved me, he sent them the message. Hermione smiled and nodded. "Anytime." She looked at Harry. "Let's get him to the hospital."

"Come on Professor." Harry said. He helped Lupin get up and they started to leave. "Oh wait." he turned back. "We forgot Malfoy." He laughed a bit. He levitated him off the ground and hit his head hard into the stone wall. Blood spilled out. "Hermione? Would you mind destroying the wand?"

"Gladly." She grinned as she put her knee out. She brought the wand down on her knee and it instantly snapped in half.

"We'll explain later when you're stable." She told him. They helped carry him around all the bodies and spells flying. They found an old hat and Hermione charmed it to a portkey. They all held on and felt the lurch at their stomaches. They arrived at St. Mungos and after a talk with the Healers Lupin was rushed to the ER. Harry and Hermione stayed with him.
